Repositioning a 38-year-old hospitality group from "restaurant" to "house of meals."
Problem. Maison Verte had grown to nine locations but was being shopped on price. Online reviews clustered around the word "expensive." The founders knew the work had changed; the positioning hadn't.
Positioning. Reframed the brand from a restaurant group to a "house of meals" — a category of one built around the conviction that the midday meal is the day's central ritual. New tagline, new menu architecture, new pricing logic.
Outcome. Average check rose 22% across the nine locations in the first eight months. Unaided brand recall in the Brooklyn–Manhattan corridor moved from 4% to 19%.
